So I'm going to Cooper Union!!!!!!! YAY. I found out December 23rd, I was a little delayed in writing this. Things are good, this month is hectic since it's the last month that really counts for anything, what with midterms and all. Tomorrow is my love's birthday, so I shall try me hardest to see him.

I think I've been judgemental for far too long (I'm sure anyone reading this would surely agree). I've thought of my aspirations as the ONLY kind of respectful ambition out there. However, in a very odd way, someone I would least expect to do so changed that view (unintentionally, of course). (any) Ambition is what makes beauty.

I feel slightly more relieved, although much of what I said makes zero sense.

Let's just hope my neck gets better now.

Friday was wonderful...Albert and I "celebrated" our one-year anniversary, since this was one of my few available evenings for quite some time. We went to Lucky Cheng's, which was awesome, especially since one transvestite called him gay and another one hit on him. We then went to hookah, tried the rose flavor, and then headed back to his place. I had rehearsal Saturday and got out at 7. Mike and I got a ride from my parents to Park Slope and met up with Albert, Asher, and Erin. We chilled at Albert's and went to get Mexican food twice throughout the night. We watched a video on youtube entitled "Shoes," and Albert threw me in the garbage...a true sign of his affection haha.

I had a good amount of work to do today, although it was nothing that I couldn't handle. I am currently at my aunt's, for my parents took my grandparents to Atlantic City today.

I can't seem to understand how I can have such a wonderful, although busy, weekend, and yet find myself feeling somewhat empty once Sunday comes along. Not exactly empty, more like detached from other human beings. I think everyone becomes rather detached on Sundays in order to prepare for the coming week of school, work, rehearsal, etc. It makes sense...it just sucks.

-Jess

Since my dear T.Burns reads this, I figured I would let her know that I apologize for not being able to see her show. I was planning on going today, but, due to having rehearsal yesterday, I had to do work for school today. SORRY, MY LOVE, I'M SURE YOU WERE FABULOUS.

The Halloween festivities have been fun. Lauren's party was mad fun. I want to go back to that karaoke place soon. Albert and I made the best lesbian couple ever. Last night, Lizz, Dana, Megan, Caitlin, and I went to the parade in the city. Then, Lizz, Dana, and I went back to Bay Ridge and met up with Laura and Ralph Izzo and Janine. We went to Schnitzel Haus which was chill but fun. I guess I'm just easily pleased by beer, nicotine, and Mealoaf.

I had an interesting discovery last night: I am a very lucky person for a variety of reasons. I began to notice it when these two guys from Bay Ridge who happened to be in the city were hitting on us. Basically, I'm just glad that I found a guy who isn't such a tool.

This weekend has been grand. Friday was Fm/Sr Halloween Party, which was a success. I enjoyed myself as "Like A Virgin" Madonna. After cleaning up, I then went to the diner with a group of friends. Alberto came in Saturday...we listened to music and did interpretative dance. I've been awfully ill, but am currently recovering. My grandparents' 61st anniversary is Wednesday, so we had a family dinner today. After dinner, I taught myself biology, since we are clearly not learning any in class, and then proceeded to read The Motorcycle Diaries. Funstuff. Tomorrow is my first day of rehearsal since about 80 years ago. I am contemplating whether or not I should help out at the Xaverian dance on Friday.
-Jess

The run test was mildly successful. The run itself was A-OK. My time at the gym has clearly paid off. However, the lack of water and the fact that I had to wait for the bus in the heat made me a little faint. Anyway, the ride home was disastrous. It was completely crowded and the bus driver refused to let this elderly lady (whom I was sitting with RIGHT IN THE FRONT of the bus) go out the front door. I intervened and he asked if I was her lawyer, to which I explained that I was getting off next stop and refused to walk through a crowd to the back of the bus when I was already at the front of the bus. He let her off, but didn't let me off. I threatened to stay the whole ride until he let me off in the back or else I would report him. A verbal fight ensued. He told me that my parents were spending $10,000 and I couldn't even read (while pointing at a sign that said you had to go to the back to exit). I was thinking in my head, "My parents only spend $3000 and it's so I don't have to become a bus driver," but I bit my tongue. The point is that no one should be forced to the back of the bus if they don't want to go there (thank you, Rosa Parks). I kid. In all seriousness, no one should be forced to walk to the back, through a crowd, and be treated so condescendingly and rudely (for that's what he was). So yeah, I reported that asshole. My head hurts. G'day.

There is no sense in getting upset. I'm doing better than I thought I would, although I'd be lying if I were to say I didn't cry yesterday. It's like that quote from "Frida," which I was watching Saturday night: "At the end of the day, we can endure much more than we think we can." I still have yet to find out if she said that in real life. Regardless, I'm adjusting well.

I want to get rid of my ovaries...and uterus...and everything else that is contributing to the worst period of my life. The feast begins today. I saw Tom for the last time until he comes back. It sucks. My parents are taking Albert and I to Casa Pepe, then I don't know what I am doing. I'm going to go out now to pick up Watkins and enjoy some Spanish/Mexican cuisine.
